sunken city Comments Off

“In 1929, a sizeable section of land in the southern tip of San Pedro began to unexplainably slip into the sea.” An interesting fact that I’m posting in quotes so I can prove to Liz when she reads this that I was right about the dates.. because thats what friends do.

Anyway, Liz and I took some friends from out of town to crawl around on the rocks in the Sunken City. You maybe remember it from this clip.

Back on track here.. the BL is sweet ( BL is short for Big Lebowski..cool kids only.) and the whole day is best summed up by our friend Chuck channeling the lion king on that rock.

Still weird to do this so Ill try it out on this easy outfit. Everything Im wearing is vintage (ebay and thrift) except for the white low back tank which is from Urban.Liz is wearing vintage cut offs and an old plaid button up that kept popping open in the wind.. make her a huge hit all the passersby. Thanks for reading my blog!

I jumped out of a plane yesterday Comments Off

So, as part of my birthday, my boyfriend surprised me with a skydiving adventure. Im not going to lie.. being surprised with “hey, you have to jump out of a plane now” is a more than a little unnerving. “Luckily” Ryan and his buddy Rooftop got the whole torturous wait on tape -all the way until my final moments on the plane before being chucked.. unknowingly.. out the door. Six back flips and 5 minutes later I was safely on the ground and all I could think when my feet hit the dirt was “dang, this is the last place I want to be”. Ryan and Rooftop followed right behind me, they had some mid-air antics of their own going on so it took them a bit longer to land. I cant put the experience itself into words.. it was sensory overload. Anyway, Ill post those videos after ryan strings them together.

All I have to say is,

1: Best birthday present ever, best boyfriend ever
2: Go Jump out of a plane!

First thoughts Comments Off

These are a bunch of thoughts Ive had recently that I plan on turning into something eventually. I scanned them for the fuck of it. Is “for the fuck of it” even a figure of speech? I feel like this looks like a bunch of hoopla but I think I like where I might be going with them… but then again.. who knows.

Tienda de campaña en México; Primer día Comments Off

Ryan and I spent the weekend driving up and down the Baja California coast, butchering the Spanish language, sleeping on rocks, and eating fresh Mexican seafood. The first night we stayed at Playa Salamundo, a little campsite perched up on the rocks before you descend down into Ensenada. The view was amazing and totally worth the bruised hip bones youll get from curling up on the gravely ground ( aka forgetting to bring the essential THIRD sleeping bag to create the proper mattress-like nest).

It was pretty overcast the first day and for hours we were the only campers. I kind of felt like we were playing apocolypse. Actually, I was playing apocolypse.. Ryan was camping.

Day Two coming soon.

When I was a kid I also had the problem of being too hot and then instantly too cold and my dad gave me the exact same advice. We called it “one in, one out”.
