after a couple of days of messing around with this stuff Im starting to get the hang of it. At first I was completely turned off by the way illustrator complete removed any trace that shitty hand drawn style that I actually LIKE about my “art”- but after a little digging around I found that the perfect combo would be hand drawn elements mixed in with the smooth lines that only my computer can recreate. I mean there are tons of awesome artists who use illustrator and their stuff doesnt look cheesy. Maybe the first round just put me into minor shock from the loss of detail.. Im also not skilled enough in AI to figure out how to lock them down, anyway.

This last piece isnt mine.. but its definitely what I’m aiming for as I dabble into the world of “big kid” art/ graphics.

Our friend Tony Hamlin is constantly saying “dump em out” on facebook, twitter and probably anything else he can get his hands on..so I guess he was the inspiration for this quick late night doodle that I lazily digitally colored it, fun times!

I cant help myself.. Ive just been dragging about 10 new things onto my desk top daily. I think this is my favorite set yet. Matix/Active “Champagne and Cupcakes” party tonight. Photos of that soon to come. Ryan’s home from Japan- Im so excited, I want to kick things.

Ignore the hats. I dont like hats (I also dont like mens wear).. my mom used to tell me I had a small head, I think thats why I hate hats.. because those two things are somehow related. Anyway. Speaking of heads.. I like the color of these flowers and I think I want to add it to my hair? I’ll probably puss out though.
