So the first round of the gluttonous overeating that makes us the proud Americans that we are is over and now youve got time to sift through the black(out) friday promotion emails that are flooding your mailbox. I dont know if its that sequins are trending harder than ever, or if its just my general disdain for bright and cheery, but what the hell…is it me or is there kind of an overload this year? Slim and grim.. and glitter rarely mix, so I rarely buy into it but luckily the AJE A/W 12 line is a welcome reminder that you dont have to ‘cheap lycra’ to look festive without looking like a tryout for The Birdcage 2.

Im writing this post like I wouldnt be caught dead in that sequin Balmain collection from a year ago but, I would. No really… bury me in it. Im also attaching a photo of some awesome looking hotdogs because at some point while writing this post I was trying to rhyme ‘tinsel’ with ‘schnitzel’.

Last Friday the Insight LA store, with Dethkills in tow, opened its late night doors, a few bottles of tequila and a shitload of PBR to celebrate 11-11-11 1000 Words. I would have taken more photos but I got the bright idea to save on calories and sub mixers for ice. oops.

Those knee highs are 69 cents at rite aid and will save your feet/make you look like a 60 year woman/cover your legs if your feeling “too slutty for fall” in short shorts.

Last weekend we went to Austin for FunFunFunFest. It wasnt hot but we were drenched.. in beer and BBQ sauce.
