I intended on snapping a bunch of photos throughout the night but then I drank too much. I also slipped on a beer can at The Standard and am now nursing a “small” welt on my cheek. Ok, it really is small.

Perched up

a couple of ryan and bens friends are building some ramps. Heres a photo from on top of said ramps, cloaked in secrecy. Around 7pm the temperature dropped dastically- I swear.

and Im helping her pack. I’ll gladly trade dry heat for ten types of muggy, great friends, and amazing beaches.. for a week anyway.

The last 2 days have been rough for los angeles county. I think the temptures peaked at 90 today. Being from florida you’d think Id be able to handle a measley mid 90s but theres a huge difference between california heat and florida heat; its NOT the humidity. Its the air conditioning. Every building, new or old, comes stock with AC. And while the nights AMAZING here in long beach.. I would have killed for some super circulated 68 degree indoor weather today.

Took the cats out because it was cooler outside than it was in.

Tam, Liz, Colby, Tracy and I went down to the fashion district to run errands (sci-fi fabric shopping!)

First stop: American Apparel show room, because liz is lucky enough to have vip wholesale access. 7th floor hipster wet dream.

Then we went down to the Japanese mall area and grabbed some awesome lunch at a little place next to the super market. Then Santee Alley, then home. Aside from the 80 degree weather, intermittent air conditioning, and shit luck finding anything “Sci-Fi”, Cheap, or purple enough… the day was pretty awesome.  Gonna hit up Mood and a few other stores on Monday.

I got a sweet package from one of my good friends, Dylan Perry, the other day. Theres nothing better than getting real mail, especially when its packed like this.

Yay for friends who make art.
